RTS & HMMA Nominations

I am delighted to have been nominated for an RTS Award for my score on The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy. Thrilled to be among just three nominees selected in a this broad and very competitive category, Music Original Score – Non Scripted. A slightly oddly-named categorisation perhaps… The Prehistoric Planet team in particular would have had to be extremely lucky to catch a troupe of improvising (non-scripted) dinosaurs on film! Anyway, this is really wonderful news and the winner will be announced on the 4th December. I actually won an RTS Award (together with John Greswell) quite a long time ago, for the score of season 2 of Charlie & Lola.

The Reluctant Traveler score also picked up a nomination at this year’s Hollywood Music in the Media Awards (HMMAs) in LA. I was in LA for the ceremony last week which was fantastic fun (with live performances from OK Go and Marc Shaiman), but unfortunately I didn’t pick up the trophy!

Busy working on Season 2 at the moment!

UPDATE 2024: Unfortunately I didn’t win either of these awards, but I’m so happy that the slightly quirky score for this slightly quirky travel show has achieved this recognition and these nominations.
