CHINESE WHISPERS


she said that he said that you said you found me frustrating
they said that you said that i said you made me depressed
it seems a strange way for us to be communicating
though i suppose you could argue at least we’re talking i guess

through chi-i-i-i-i-i-i-nese whispers
gone are the days when we used to talk face to face
remember that game where we told each other our feelings?
now this game of chi-i-i-i-nese whispers has taken it’s place

i never said what they said that i said about you
and i hope you didn’t mean what they told me you said about me
i really can’t tell what the hell you expect me to do
i’ve had fifteen reports on your thoughts on the subject you see

through chi-i-i-i-i-i-i-nese whispers
long gone are the days when we used to talk face to face
we once played a game where we told each other our feelings
now this game of chi-i-i-i-nese whispers has taken it’s place
